Job summary

INFOTRON in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking an Embedded Systems Software Test Engineer to design and implement automated Python-based tests for embedded hardware products. You will build test frameworks with Pytest, validate CAN, API and hardware interactions, and help integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub runners.

Strong debugging across software and hardware interfaces is essential, and collaboration with embedded firmware and hardware teams is required.

Embedded Systems Software Test Engineer – Python Automation

Location: Kalamazoo, MI – Onsite

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 6 months, with potential for extension

Type: On-site (5 days a week)

Important Candidate Profile

• We are specifically seeking engineers with experience testing embedded systems and physical hardware products.
• Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on enterprise IT applications, business web applications, browser-based QA, or general software QA without embedded/hardware product experience are unlikely to be a fit for this position.
• The strongest candidates will have built Python-based automated testing solutions that interact directly with embedded devices, hardware products, communication protocols, and APIs.
