Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 5 years of C/C++ software development experience.
• 3 years testing/maintaining or launching software products; 1 year design/architecture.
• 3 years working with embedded OS and firmware environments.
• Experience with drivers or hardware-software interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Write, optimize, and test low-level embedded system and firmware development code in C/C++ for Pixel touch controllers and input subsystems.
• Lead technical design reviews with cross-functional hardware, research, and Android teams to evaluate touch architectures.
• Review code and provide feedback to ensure style, testability, architecture, and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, bring-up guides, and diagnostic runbooks.
• Triage, debug, and resolve complex touch system issues across silicon firmware, kernel drivers, and hardware interactions.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

5 years of experience with software development in C or C++

3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products; 1 year in design/architecture

3 years of experience with embedded operating systems and firmware

Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining low-level device drivers or hardware-software interfaces
