Eaton Corporation’s Engineering and Technology Internship Program offers a 12-week paid internship focused on embedded systems, hardware and software development, and AI-assisted tools. Interns will relocate to an Eaton site within the United States and work across IoT, firmware, and power distribution projects under seasoned leaders.

Participants gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and networking opportunities, with a clear path toward Eaton’s Engineering & Technology Development Programs

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled or received a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or computer science from an accredited institution
• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8
• Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States
• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
• Experience in embedded systems and exposure to software languages including C, C++, Java, and/or Python
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2
• Prior internship or co-op experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or community
• Demonstrated exposure to machine learning or AI concepts through coursework, internships, research, or personal projects including experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot), experience in prompt engineering, and working with generative AI models and simulation tools

Responsibilities

• Over the course of this 12-week paid internship, Interns will engage in projects that hold tangible significance for our business while receiving guidance and mentorship from Eaton's esteemed leaders.
• The Engineering and Technology Internship Program- Embedded Systems track will provide exposure to a combination of hardware and software product development support opportunities.
• Our strategic teams in this area are working on cutting edge technologies including IoT product application and development, firmware and software development for micro-controllers, and embedded hardware for power distribution products.
