Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is hiring an Embedded/Linux Engineer to contribute to low-level firmware and BSP bring-up for high-performance storage platforms used in aircraft systems. You will work at the BIOS/UEFI level, port and configure Linux kernel components, and ensure cross-arch compatibility (x86, ARM) with accelerators.

Responsibilities include porting GMSL3 drivers, building kernel modules, and developing diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Linux kernel boot flow and minimal hardware initialization.
  • Experience with BSP development for x86 architectures.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, embedded systems debugging, and low-level programming.
  • Familiarity with hardware bring-up using JTAG, serial console, and oscilloscopes.
  • Experience with storage devices (eMMC, NVMe, SATA, SD) and root filesystem setup.

Responsibilities

  • Support porting and configuration of GMSL3 drivers and utilities that depend on this protocol.
  • Configure Linux kernel modules.
  • Develop and integrate BSPs for x86 platforms and perform board bring-up, validation, and debugging on evaluation/target hardware.
  • Port and configure kernel/device-tree for new boards.
  • Provide minimal hardware initialization for Linux kernel boot and build bring-up/diagnostic tools.
  • Work with hardware, PaaS, and DevOps teams to align low-level firmware with platform needs.
  • Document BIOS/bootloader changes, BSP configurations, and bring-up procedures.
