Job summary

LHP Engineering Solutions seeks an Embedded Software Engineer for an on-site role in Erie, PA. You will design, develop, and test embedded software applications, perform reviews, and release software per guidelines.

You will work with safety and system teams to deliver high-quality solutions for a transportation-focused product portfolio. The ideal candidate combines strong C/C++ skills with experience in embedded RTOS environments, Linux, and containerized development, and you will report to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 5 years hands-on embedded real-time software design and development.
• Experience with HIL testing.
• Embedded C programming experience.
• Knowledge of Linux and Docker preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to read/decompose architecture requirements.
• Experience with Serial/Ethernet communications.
• Familiarity with DOORs or similar requirements tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-threaded C/C++ apps on embedded RTOS.
• Collaborate with software, systems, safety, and test teams.
• Ensure on-time deliveries and high-quality software.
• Perform design/code reviews and unit testing.
• Release software per company processes and guidelines.
• Work with project managers to define scope, resources, timelines.
