Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of embedded systems experience or 3 years with an advanced degree.
• Experience developing ML-based image and voice embedded applications in C, C++, Python.
• Experience in designing embedded systems including MCUs, RTOS, memories, interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, MIPI, CSI2, I3C, BLE) and sensors.

Title: Embedded Systems Engineer / firmware engineer/ low level software engineer

Pay: $38-$47

Duration: LONG TERM, high potential to convert

Location: 5x a week onsite in mountain view

Interviews: 2 rounds

Here you will be working with intelligent systems for consumer devices/ consumer electronics within the AR/VR space at Google. This is an onsite requirement in Mountain View,CA. You will collaborate with ML engineers like to optimize ML models for power, latency, memory usage, prototypes for new features. It is highly desirable if he or she knows more than embedded systems but also has ML experience. You will help with firmware for memory usage, good power consumption, latency and more.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop embedded systems for intelligent edge sensing applications
• Develop firmware and drivers for embedded systems
• Collaborate with ML engineers to implement real-time ML sensing applications
• Optimize embedded ML model performance in terms of power, latency, and memory usage
• Create prototypes to demonstrate new edge sensing features

Onsite in mountain view 5x a week

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related, or equivalent practical experience
• 4 years of experience working in an embedded system technical environment or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
• experience in developing machine learning-based image and voice embedded system applications using C, C++, Python
• Experience designing and architecting embedded systems including but not limited to MCUs, RTOS, memories, interfaces (e.g. I2C, SPI, UART, MIPI, CSI2, I3C, and BLE), and sensors (imaging and non-imaging)

Preferred qualifications:

• Masters or PHD
• Low power AI processor, sensor solutions, and overall system architecture.
• ML experience or working with ML engineers

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
