Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design, implement, and test embedded software interfacing with FPGA-based processing pipelines for space missions. The role requires 5+ years in embedded software, proficiency in C/C++, and experience with embedded Linux/RTOS. A Bachelor's in CS/EE/CE is required, with secret clearance highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of embedded software development in C or C++.
• Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, or bare-metal firmware.
• Experience designing software for real-time or high-reliability systems.
• Experience integrating software with FPGA-based hardware.
• Proficiency with debugging tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers).
• Familiarity with SPI, I2C, UART, LVDS or similar interfaces.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python for algorithm development or data evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test embedded software architectures for space-grade systems.
• Interface embedded software with FPGA-based processing pipelines and spacecraft subsystems.
