Job summary

CS Group USA is seeking an Embedded Software Verification Engineer to lead verification activities for aerospace-grade real-time embedded systems. You will implement verification strategies aligned with DO-178 lifecycles and deliver reliable results to certification and development teams.

The role supports onsite (CT), hybrid, or fully remote work arrangements, requiring collaboration across hardware, software, and certification disciplines and occasional travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in embedded software development or verification.
  • Strong understanding of verification methods and strategies; C/C++ and Python skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required. Willingness to travel up to ~2 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all verification activities for embedded aerospace systems, including artifact review and test development.
  • Collaborate with hardware, development, and certification teams.
  • Ensure verification artifacts comply with DO-178C objectives and traceability.
  • Provide technical support to junior engineers and ensure schedules align with project goals.

Job Description

We are seeking a capable Embedded Software Verification Engineer with experience in real-time embedded software verification. The ideal candidate will be capable of reliably receiving and implementing a verification strategy in alignment with verification lifecycles to satisfy DO-178 objectives. This individual will provide reliable verification results to certification and development teams. Location: The role can be onsite (CT), hybrid, or fully remote.

Responsibilities
  • Independently perform all verification activities for embedded aerospace and defense systems including but not limited to artifact review, test case/test procedure development, analysis and results compilation.
  • Collaborate with hardware, development, and certification teams.
  • Ensure compliance of verification artifacts in accordance with DO-178C objectives.
  • Awareness of a variety of testing strategies such as simulation, integration, target hardware, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate implementation of testing solutions in alignment with high-level and low-level requirements, including accurate traceability.
  • Identify, isolate, and analyze verification findings.
  • Support verification efforts in alignment to developed schedules and quality objectives while interfacing with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support to junior engineers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in embedded software development or verification.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Verification methods and strategies
    • C/C++ or similar embedded languages
    • Python and other equivalent scripting languages
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigation skills.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required. Dual citizenship should be disclosed.
  • Able to travel approximately up to two weeks per year.
