This embedded software engineering internship focuses on building and improving core software infrastructure for the robot fleet, with emphasis on over-the-air (OTA) and firmware update systems that deliver software reliably and securely to robots in the field.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and test features for robot software platform including OTA update delivery and firmware update flows
• Work across software and hardware layers to integrate, debug, and validate updates on real robot hardware
• Improve the reliability, security, and scalability of software deployment across the robot fleet
• Measure the impact of your work and share results and recommendations with the team

What You Need

• Rising senior or recent graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; must be graduating within one year
• Minimum 10-week commitment
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, Rust, or Python
• Experience with Linux and networking fundamentals

Nice to Have

• Experience with embedded Linux build and update tools such as Yocto, RAUC, or SWUpdate
• Experience with firmware development, bootloaders, or hardware bring-up
• Familiarity with applied cryptography, such as code signing, PKI, or secure boot

$40.00-$45.00 per hour; total compensation package may include additional components and benefits depending on the specific role
