Job summary

Rockwell Automation in the United States seeks an experienced Software Embedded engineer to design, develop, and test safety- and security-critical embedded software for PLCs. You will work across hardware and software environments, from COTS to custom SoCs, and contribute to requirements and tools.

You will join an Agile team, lead detailed design, build foundational software, and mentor peers while advancing automated testing and CI practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering in embedded systems.
• Experience with C++ and real-time design.
• Familiarity with safety and security standards such as IEC 61508 or IEC 62443.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety- and security-critical embedded software for PLCs.
• Work across hardware/software environments from COTS to custom SoC.
• Promote automated test engineering and CI practices.
• Lead detailed design and coordinate with multiple teams.
• Mentor peers and share knowledge within the development community.
