Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Developer for RDK-B in Santa Clara, CA. You will design, develop, and integrate gateway software, focusing on broadband technologies and network management.

Responsibilities include implementing features like firewall rules, DHCP, SNMP, and TR069/TR181, plus debugging across embedded Linux and contributing to CI/CD workflows. Strong C skills and gateway know-how are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of embedded software development experience in C (C++ a plus).
• Strong knowledge of RDK-B/OpenWRT/prplOS and broadband gateway tech.
• Hands-on embedded Linux experience including kernel and user space debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate software components for gateway and extender products.
• Implement and enhance features like Parental Control, firewall/iptables, DHCP, SNMP, TR069/TR181, and network management.
• Debug and resolve issues in embedded Linux environments (kernel and user space).
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to meet platform standards and integration.
• Optimize system performance and troubleshoot customer-reported issues.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing (GTest/GMock), and CI/CD processes.
