Job summary

Wabtec is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in the Town of Florida, NY, to design and develop innovative solutions for train control requirements. You will focus on delivering high-quality embedded software applications, provide technical solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science and at least 2 years of experience in software design and development. Strong skills in C/C++ and knowledge of embedded systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in embedded real-time software design and development.
• Experience with a wide variety of peripheral bus interfaces such as RS-422, CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet.
• Knowledge of debugging techniques and ability to interact at hardware level.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-threaded C/C++ applications running under embedded RTOS.
• Provide technical support to cross-functional teams of Software, Hardware, Test, and Systems Engineers.
• Collaborate with project managers and other leads to determine scope of work and resource assignments.
