Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Senior Embedded SoC Engineer to contribute to automotive-grade SOC integration, BSP development, and embedded software across Linux/RTOS environments. The role emphasizes hands-on HW bring up, debugging, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in BSW SoC design, strong C/C++ skills, and experience with SOC architectures and carrier-grade peripherals. On-site position in Auburn Hills, MI with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/EE; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in BSW SoC design, with automotive focus.
• Embedded systems development with SOC integration and BSP.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded software development tools.
• Strong understanding of SOC architectures and peripheral interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C).
• Experience with embedded OS such as Linux, FreeRTOS, or RTOS.
• Familiarity with version control (Git), build systems (Make, CMake), and debugging tools (JTAG, GDB).
• Hands-on HW bring up and HW debug with lab instruments.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field,Master'sdegree preferred.
• Minimum5years of experience in BSW SoC design, with a focus on automotive applications.
• Proven experience in embedded systems development with a focus on SOC integration and BSP development.
• Proficiencyin C/C++ programming languages and familiarity with embedded software development tools and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of SOC architectures, peripheral interfaces (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C), and device drivers.
• Experience with embedded operating systems such as Linux,FreeRTOS, or RTOS.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), build systems (e.g., Make,CMake), and debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, GDB).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with hands-on HW bring up and HW debug with lab instruments such as power supply, multi-meter, oscilloscope etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SOCarchitecturefrom vendors such as Renesas, TI, Intel, or Qualcomm.
• Familiarity with security protocols and techniques for securing embedded systems.
• Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines for embedded software development.
• Experience with Autonomous Driving and IVI software architecture.
