Job summary

Johnson Health Tech North America is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop software powering our fitness equipment and connected technologies. You will work with engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to move concepts from prototype to production in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience; level/title will be aligned with background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java.
• Experience with embedded software development using C/C++ and RTOS or bare‑metal systems.
• Ability to read electronic schematics and component datasheets.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software solutions for fitness equipment and connected technologies.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate new technologies and product concepts.
• Create proof-of-concept prototypes and collaborate with Product Management for refinement.
• Support new product development by transitioning concepts into production-ready solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and design requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex software and hardware integration challenges.
• Collaborate with global engineering and manufacturing teams, including overseas partners.
• Contribute to new intellectual property and product innovation.
