Job summary

Tensor is an agentic AI company building autonomous driving technology. We seek talented embedded software engineers to join the software team working on the Tensor Robocar platform in San Jose, CA and other locations.

You will develop MCU software, integrate algorithms, and optimize performance for reliable autonomous operation. Strong C/C++ skills and familiarity with CAN, Automotive Ethernet, SPI and test equipment are required; FreeRTOS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C/C++ with strong data structures and algorithms.
• Familiar with oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers and electronic loads.
• Experience with automotive electronics and interfaces such as CAN, Automotive Ethernet, SPI and serial ports.
• Experience with embedded software development; FreeRTOS experience preferred.

We’re seeking talented and self‑motivated software engineers to join our embedded system team. In this role, you play a crucial role in building a reliable autonomous driving vehicle.

Responsibilities

• MCU software development, maintenance and version management, etc.
• ECU peripheral driver development, algorithm integration, performance optimization, integration testing, fault analysis and location resolution, etc.

Qualifications

• Excellent C/C++ coding skills, familiar with common data structures and algorithms.
• Familiar with circuit principles, proficient in using programmable power supplies, oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, electronic loads and other equipment.
• Familiar with automotive electronics and common embedded interface protocols, such as CAN, automotive Ethernet, SPI, serial ports, etc.
• Familiar with embedded software development and debugging of common MCU platforms, and experience in FreeRTOS system development is preferred.
• Familiar with NXP S32G/K series is preferred.
