Job Overview
Embedded Software Engineer (Associate/Engineer) on the Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) Embedded Software Engineering Team within the Weapons Integration and Mission Solutions (WIMS) organization. Location: Warner Robins, GA. Full‑time, salaried, on‑site position.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and maintain embedded operational flight programs using best software practices and standards.
- Participate in the entire software development life cycle: requirements, modeling, design, unit to CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance.
- Provide leadership in solving complex technical problems.
- Interact regularly with Program Management, external suppliers, and/or government customers; strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
Basic Qualifications – Associate Engineer
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM discipline.
- Proficiency in C/C++/Ada or other object‑oriented programming languages.
- Proficiency in all phases of the formal software development lifecycle from requirements to testing.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Highly motivated self‑starter able to work efficiently in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret‑level security clearance.
Basic Qualifications – Engineer
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct relevant experience with a B.S. degree, or minimum of 0 years with a Master’s degree.
- Proficiency in C/C++/Ada or other object‑oriented programming languages.
- Proficiency in all phases of the formal software development lifecycle from requirements to testing.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Highly motivated self‑starter able to work efficiently in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret‑level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience developing/debugging software for real‑time embedded operating systems (VxWorks, Embedded Linux).
- Experience developing/debugging Electronic Warfare/Radar software.
- Hands‑on software/hardware integration and testing experience.
- Experience with Agile software development processes.
- Experience interfacing with customers and/or stakeholders.
- Experience leading cross‑functional engineering teams.
- Experience with digital signal processing.
- Experience analyzing system requirements to derive software design and test specifications.
- Experience with Jira/Bitbucket/Git.
- Experience with LabView.
Compensation & Benefits
Primary salary range: $65,800.00 – $98,800.00. Secondary salary range: $79,300.00 – $118,900.00. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentives for senior positions.
