Job summary

John Deere in the United States (Iowa) is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to the development of precision agriculture software for equipment. You will join an embedded scrum team, collaborate with systems engineers and software architects, and help design, implement, and test software for Deere equipment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of embedded software development experience in C++, Python, Java, or OO languages.
• Knowledge of CAN and Ethernet protocols and tools.
• Experience in design, development, and testing software applications.
• Understand real-time operating systems and multi process/thread concepts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a distributed team environment.

Responsibilities

• Be a member of an embedded development scrum team working with multiple stakeholders to build and implement functionality for John Deere agricultural equipment such as In-Field Data Sharing and Logistics.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineers, Software Architects, and other teams to design, develop, and test software for Deere equipment with focus on Precision Ag.
• Operate as a member of a scrum team and provide work direction for team members.
• Provide product support and defect triage of those systems.
