Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer intern for the Mission Systems sector in Rolling Meadows, IL. You will contribute to the design, implementation, and verification of software for embedded systems and digital electronics as part of a cross-functional team.

Ideal candidates are enrolled full-time in CS/CE/EE, available for a 10-week summer program in 2027, and prepared to pursue a U.S. government security clearance. Coursework in C, C++, and OS concepts is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time in Fall 2027 pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
• Majors include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
