Job summary

RTX in Burnsville, MN is seeking a Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2027) to contribute to embedded product design and development. The role provides a mentor and hands-on projects aligned with DO-178B/C for airborne systems.

You will gain experience in software development for embedded platforms, participate in team activities, and learn through real-world assignments while pursuing a STEM degree and completing required credits.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced STEM degree and enrolled through internship period.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit in a STEM degree by internship start.
• Sophomore+ with courses in programming languages, embedded software development or model-based design.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and development of embedded products.
• Work with mentor to develop, test, and certify software per DO-178B/C objectives.
• Participate in team development and learn through hands-on projects.
