Job summary

SEAKR Engineering seeks a mid-level Embedded Software Engineer to own feature development in a fast-paced environment. You will work on low-level systems programming, with autonomy on critical projects and direct involvement in system integration.

The role emphasizes C/C++ development, OS concepts, and networking within constrained embedded environments. You will collaborate on space-grade electronics, contribute to design decisions, and operate largely onsite with some hybrid flexibility.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in embedded systems development.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of fundamental OS concepts (kernel vs. user space, task scheduling, memory management, synchronization).
• Proficiency in Python, C and/or C++, including object-oriented principles.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, MAC addresses, packet inspection tools).
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently.
• Proven track record of learning from specification documents and adapting to new protocols or standards.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly engaged mid-level Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. This role offers a fast-paced environment where you will take ownership of feature development and work with minimal supervision on critical projects. We are looking for individuals with strong technical fundamentals in low-level systems programming who are eager to learn our product deeply and play a key role in system integration. This position requires working primarily onsite with some hybrid flexibility.

Additional Information

Compensation: Base salary range is $100,000-135,000/year, depending on qualifications.
