Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Software Engr within the NGA Flight Displays group to design, develop, and verify Core Displays for the Anthem Next Generation Avionics Platform.

You will work on high-assurance embedded software, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute through the full software lifecycle from concept to validation.

A Bachelor's in a technical field and hands-on experience with C/C++, Python, and RTOS is required; experience in avionics is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Software, or Computer Science degree
• Embedded software development experience ~1.5-2+ years (Engr II), ~4-5 years (Advanced/Engr III)
• Competence in programming, with preference to languages such as C/C++, Python, Open GL, Vulkan etc.

• You will work closely with a passionate team of engineers and designers to create and implement forward-thinking software solutions for our cutting-edge Avionics Flight Display Systems.
• Support the design, development and implementation of robust, high-quality software solutions for cutting-edge Flight Display System platforms, services and/or applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and functionality
• Craft and implement high-level code, ensuring our technology is both robust and user-friendly
• Create test cases for software based upon use cases derived from the system and software requirements
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from concept through implementation and verification
• Enjoy increasing ownership of software modules, deliver innovative features, implement functionalities and contribute to the overall advancement of technology.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software with existing avionics systems.

As a Software Engr, within our Next-Generation Avionics (NGA) group, you will join a team responsible for the design, architecture and deployment of cutting-edge Avionics Display System solutions. As part of the Flight Displays software team, you will have responsibilities across the design, development, software integration and verification of Core Displays to be hosted on the Anthem Next Generation Avionics Platform.

• Experience developing software in a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)
• Object oriented development experience
