Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Lead Systems Engineer to drive development, integration and verification of core cockpit displays software. You will work with cross-functional teams to shape the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck platform.

The role requires extensive systems engineering experience, strong communication, and hands-on design using model-based approaches like Simulink and Scade. On-site at our North Phoenix campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems or Computer Science.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, integrate and verify cutting-edge system and software requirements.
• Create dynamic model-based system designs using Simulink.
• Develop Arinc 661 graphics using Scade and related tools.
• Develop test cases for software derived from system requirements to ensure quality.

As a Lead Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency in the aerospace industry. You will report directly to one of our Next-Gen Avionics Engineering Managers and you'll work out of our north Phoenix, Arizona location

In this role, you will be responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core Displays Apps to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Systems or Computer Science degree


• 8 plus years of experience in systems engineering


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work under minimal supervision

WE VALUE

• Advanced Engineering degrees like AE (Aerospace Engineering), SE (Systems Engineering)


• Experience with IMA IO and IO Scheduling Tools (ESCAPE, PCT, HARMONIC)


• Familiarity with the NGA System Architecture


• Experience with Simulink or similar model-based design tool


• Experience in complex system integration projects


• Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices


• Knowledge of change management practices


• Knowledge of system certification requirements and documentation


• Passion for innovation and continuous learning


• Attention to detail
