Job summary

Gentex Corporation in Zeeland, MI is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer II to contribute across the full software development lifecycle on on-site teams. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related discipline.
• 2+ years of technical experience across the software development lifecycle.
• Detailed knowledge of electronics components and systems.
• Proficiency in C and C++, assembly languages, and RTOS.
• In-depth knowledge of embedded systems.
• Strong communication and people skills; ability to multitask.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Execute full software development lifecycle from requirements through testing and validation.
• Coordinate with Hardware, Mechanical, Product and System Engineering teams.
• Design and implement features for embedded platforms including cameras, SoCs and drivers.
• Participate in code reviews, estimation and planning meetings.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
