Job summary

Cyient is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with HIL to join our engineering team in Irvine. You will participate in the full SDLC, develop embedded applications in C/C++, and collaborate with hardware teams on board bring-up and device driver development.

You will ensure regulatory compliance and optimize embedded software for performance and reliability. The role requires hands-on experience with hardware interfaces (UART, USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI) and knowledge of

Qualifications

Experience with HIL testing and LabVIEW environments.
Strong embedded C/C++ development experience.
Hands-on board bring-up, OS bring-up, and device driver development.
Familiarity with hardware interfaces (UART, USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI) and CAN/TCP/IP/UDP protocols.

Responsibilities

Participate in the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Develop and maintain embedded applications using C/C++.
Collaborate with hardware teams on board OS bring-up and device driver development.
Develop and integrate hardware interface solutions for embedded platforms.
Ensure regulatory compliance with customer safety and security standards.
Debug, test, and optimize embedded software for performance and reliability.
Collaborate with hardware, systems, and verification engineers.
