Job summary

Apogee Research, LLC is seeking Embedded Software Engineers to lead the creation of capabilities for national security, focusing on tactical edge software across military and commercial hardware in Arlington, VA. The role emphasizes hands-on design, testing, and collaboration in a full-time, in-person setting.

Qualified candidates should have extensive experience in low-level software with C/C++, an understanding of buffers and schedulers, and knowledge of signal processing.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building low level software that reliably runs in a range of environmental conditions.
• High proficiency in C and C++.
• Thorough understanding of buffers, transports, schedulers, and similar low-level software constructs.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of signal processing techniques such as Nyquist sampling and Fourier transforms.
• Understanding of hardware such as ruggedized compute and software defined radios is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on design and development of low-level software (C/C++) for tactical systems across architectures and POSIX OS.
• Debugging cyber-physical systems with deep software and hardware integration knowledge.
• Support demonstration and testing in laboratory and field/test events.
• Learn new technologies and develop new approaches as needed.
• Work in cross-discipline teams to solve hard problems through collaboration.
