Job summary

Hikinex in Torrance, CA seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to drive software that powers and simulates flight systems. You will collaborate with hardware and software teams to implement, debug, and validate the entire technology stack—from applications and OS to networking, firmware, and simulation.

Open to engineers across levels, the role focuses on developing reliable systems, testing & debugging across environments, and contributing to mission-critical flight software efforts at Hikinex.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with C++, Python, or Rust and Linux-based development.
• Experience with low-level systems such as Linux kernel development or hardware interfaces (UART, I2C, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Autonomous Systems: Design and implement reliable autonomous software systems and simulations for validation.
• Comprehensive Software Development: Manage the full software lifecycle from design to deployment for mission-critical apps.
• System Testing: Debug hardware/software systems and develop testing tools for virtualized and real hardware-in-the-loop environments.
