Job summary

Delta has a role building and maintaining the embedded software stack for the Unit Controller that coordinates PCS, BMS and HVAC on Delta US hardware.

You will establish modern CI/CD using Azure DevOps, port legacy code for US standards, and implement compliant firmware including secure boot and signed OTA updates.

The position requires 5+ years in embedded software for industrial or energy systems, with C/C++ on Linux/RTOS and strong networking capabilities.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science; 5+ years in embedded software for industrial/energy systems.
• Expert in C/C++ on Linux/RTOS with multithreading, real-time scheduling, IPC, and deterministic networking.
• Experience with industrial protocols and secure boot / OT security concepts.
• Proven ability to lead platform development and re-platform legacy code for US standards.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the embedded software stack for the Delta Unit Controller coordinating PCS, BMS and HVAC.
• Lead porting of Taiwan codebase to US hardware and vendors; ensure US standards alignment.
• Implement Modbus TCP/RTU, IEC 61850, DNP3, OPC UA, and CAN stacks and integrate with meters and PCS/BMS.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps with self-hosted agents, unit tests, static analysis and HIL gates.
• Enforce secure boot, signed OTA updates, RBAC, audit logging per IEC 62443 and NERC CIP where applicable.
