Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an Early Career Software Engineer to join the CPS program in a role focused on software development for hypersonic systems. The candidate will participate in the software lifecycle, from requirements analysis to integration and delivery, using languages like C, C++, or Python.

The position requires US citizenship and is located at a facility with special access, with opportunities to work on embedded flight software and HIL/HWIL testbeds within a collaborative IPT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or related field from an accredited college/university.
• Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
• US Citizen; position requires a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the software engineering lifecycle per SDP: requirements analysis, OO design, coding, unit testing, integration and delivery support.
• Contribute to software that controls hypersonic systems and embedded flight software testbeds.
• Follow standards, processes and tools throughout the development lifecycle.
