Job summary

Kratos Defense and Security Solutions in Plano, TX is seeking a Software Engineer to design applications, write code, test and debug, and document results. You will work under the Software Manager guiding embedded software efforts for ARM-based platforms.

Requirements include a B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 5–7 years of professional software development experience. A strong emphasis on C/C++, RTOS, Embedded Linux, and hardware interfaces is expected.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering required.
• 5-7 years professional software development experience.
• US person is required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan technical projects and meet milestones.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts work involving evaluation and adaptation of standard techniques.
• Devises new approaches to problems and analyzes complex factors.
• Acts as a key contributor within a project team.
• Develops new programs and enhances existing software, including testing and debugging.
• May require minimal field installation/support travel.
