Job summary

Trenton Systems is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for next-generation products. The ideal candidate has strong C/C++ skills, embedded Linux experience, and a solid hardware/software integration foundation.

You will work closely with electrical, mechanical, systems, and test engineers to translate requirements into reliable, production-ready software.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded software for MCUs and processors.
• Develop drivers, interfaces, and system services in C/C++.
• Configure and maintain embedded Linux and build tools.
• Integrate RTOS, middleware, and third-party components.
• Develop firmware for SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, and GPIO.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on board bring-up.
• Perform unit and integration testing, debugging, and optimization.
• Use embedded debuggers, oscilloscopes, and analyzers for diagnostics.
• Maintain software docs and participate in code reviews.
