Job summary

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer Asc in Orlando, FL. You will develop and maintain embedded software applications and desktop applications, including requirements, design, code, testing, and integration for embedded multi-core systems and sensor emulation tools.

The ideal candidate has strong C++ object-oriented skills, experience with Linux, and the ability to obtain DoD clearance. US citizenship is required; SAP considerations may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related software discipline.
• Demonstrated software development experience in C++.
• Experience with operating systems concepts (Linux/Windows/Unix/VxWorks).

Responsibilities

• Develop Embedded Software to include drivers, state machines, multi-threaded applications, etc.
• Integrate complex algorithms into C++ applications.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software for both logical and mathematical solutions and for controlling tactical hardware.
• Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software in alignment with policies to accelerate documentation and testing.
• Contribute to detailed design architectures, ensuring alignment of architecture and source code.

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer Asc in Orlando, FL. In this role, you will develop and maintain embedded software applications and/or desktop applications. Tasks will involve requirements, design, code, testing, and integrating software for an embedded multi-core system as well as desktop computer applications for emulation of sensors and countermeasures. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of object-oriented C++ concepts and experience with Linux OS. Candidates filling this position will need US citizenship and will need a clearance at the level specified in “Clearance Level” or will need the ability to get a clearance if not specified. In addition to meeting security clearance requirements, the candidate may need to be approved to work Special Access Program (SAP) prior to start of employment.

• Develop Embedded Software to include drivers, state machines, multi-threaded applications, etc.
• Integrate complex algorithms into C++ applications
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software for both logical and mathematical solutions as well as software for controlling tactical hardware
• Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, while referencing Artificial Intelligence in a responsible manner in accordance with Lockheed, contractual, and governmental policies to accelerate documentation, development, and functional tests.
• Contribute to detailed design architectures, ensuring architecture and source code remain in alignment.

Basic Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related software discipline
• Demonstrated software development experience in C++
• Experience working Operating systems / familiarity with OS concepts. This may include: Linux, Windows, Unix, VxWorks, Operating Systems Coursework, etc.
• Ability to obtain DoD Clearance
• Must be US Citizen

Desired Skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $67000.00 - $124400.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
