TEKsystems is seeking an Embedded Software Developer for a contract-to-hire role in Houston, TX. You will work on embedded Linux, with C++ and Python, and help drive AI-assisted engineering workflows to improve product quality and velocity.

The role is onsite in Houston, with a pay range of $60.00-$68.00 per hour on a W2 basis, and benefits are provided. Authorization and background checks apply, and the position closes after Aug 25, 2026.

Qualifications

• Professional embedded software development experience on Linux
• Strong programming in C++ and Python
• Experience integrating AI-assisted engineering workflows and tooling

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded Linux tooling and infrastructure
• Build and optimize firmware build, test, packaging, provisioning, flashing, and release pipelines
• Develop HIL and board-farm automation for firmware validation and regression testing
• Integrate static analysis, automated testing, and quality gates into the SDLC
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and QA teams to improve engineering processes
