Job summary

EPITEC is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer 2 for an onsite, 24-month contract at Mossville Tech Center Building A, IL. The role focuses on developing and supporting application-level C++ software for remote-control and autonomous systems used on large track-type tractors.

Responsibilities include design and implementation from requirements through deployment, maintenance for SATS and Dozing workflows, testing, and collaboration with software engineers, systems engineers, and project

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
Demonstrated professional programming experience using C++.
Experience with unit testing and software-in-the-loop testing.
Experience using Ethernet diagnostic tools such as Wireshark.
Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

Design and implement embedded software from requirements through production and deployment.
Develop C++ software enabling remote-control and autonomous systems for dozers.
Support software maintenance for SATS and Command for Dozing development cadence.
Analyze and improve efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
Perform unit testing and software-in-the-loop testing to validate software functionality.
Troubleshoot software and system issues and support resolution.
Collaborate with teammates to deliver releases and resolve technical issues.
Read schematics and component data sheets to support development.
