CNH Industrial is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Wichita, KS to design, develop, and maintain embedded software for construction equipment controllers. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software that meets safety and performance requirements.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or CS and 3+ years in embedded software, with MATLAB/Simulink experience. Hybrid work and competitive compensation are offered.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in embedded software development for construction/agr/automotive/off-highway equipment.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and Embedded Coder for model-based software development and automatic C code generation.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to deploy embedded software programs.
• Determine purpose, application, and feasibility of new or enhanced integration between software and hardware.
• Create and update documentation for designs, and all phases of the project.
• Work with external suppliers and customers to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Analyze and root cause software issues found internally and externally.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Design and execute MIL, SIL testing.
• Help define requirements and evaluate technical feasibility of implementation.
• Demonstrates support for company culture in their daily actions and behaviors.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.

Job Purpose

This Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software for controllers used in Construction Equipment.

Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or similar field from accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in embedded software development preferably for Construction or Agriculture or Automotive or off-highway equipment.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and Embedded Coder for model-based software development and automatic C code generation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing, simulating, testing, and deploying control algorithms to embedded controllers.
• Strong understanding model-based design principles, including model architecture, reusable components, and code generation workflows.
• Experience in programming languages, such as C or C++.
• Experience with real time operating systems.
• Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and leadership staff.
• Travel is less than 10%

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $86,600.00 - $132,800.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
