Qualifications

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an accomplished Embedded Software Engineer to support our partnership witha leader in the aviation and aerospace industry, in Azusa, California.

In this highly technical role, you will support the Flight Software Department as an Algorithm Computer Engineering & Design Architect, helping design and implement sophisticated flight software solutions. You'll tackle challenging real-time computing problems across FPGA, CPU, and GPU architectures while helping transform complex algorithms into reliable, high-performance embedded solutions.

What You'll Do

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will:

  • Architect and implement high-performance flight software solutions for complex embedded systems.

Required Qualifications

We're looking for an experienced engineering professional with:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline plus 12 years of relevant experience; OR

  • Master's degree in a STEM discipline plus 10 years of relevant experience; OR

  • PhD in a STEM discipline plus 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience optimizing intra-SoC distributed processing across integrated FPGA, CPU, and GPU components.

  • Expertise with advanced embedded computing platforms supporting high-performance, real-time processing.

  • Experience with modern FPGAs and their integration into embedded systems.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing high-bandwidth, 20+ Gbps real-time processing solutions.

  • Proven ability to minimize processing latency within heterogeneous compute architectures.

  • Strong experience mapping and fitting complex algorithms into fixed hardware configurations.

  • Knowledge of hardware-software co-design principles for embedded and compute-intensive systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise with NVIDIA Orin Jetson platforms for high-performance, real-time processing.

  • Ability to translate MARs into flight software code.

  • Strong mathematical proficiency for algorithm development and implementation.

Pay Details: $75.00 to $85.00 per hour
