Role Description

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll work with the product development team to design firmware for new Brane Audio products.

This role will join our small and growing team of engineers and scientists to help push the boundaries of sound through invention and scientific curiosity. You’ll work closely with a hands-on team and play a key role in bringing disruptive technology to market.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve existing Brane Audio products.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Develop firmware for manufacturing testing needs.
• Proactively fill in wherever you can to support the Brane development team.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in C and embedded Linux programming.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of Embedded Software Engineering or related experience.
• Comfortable with multi-threaded programming and thread-safe practices.
• Experience with hardware control and audio interfaces such as I2C and I2S.
• Familiarity with networking protocols.
• Familiarity with Bluetooth Legacy Audio protocols and Bluetooth LE Audio protocols.
• Understanding of embedded hardware architecture.
• Bonus: interest and/or projects completed in consumer electronics, music, or audio technology.

• Self-motivated and self-starting on critical tasks.
• Collaborative and integral team member.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
