Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Bootloader / Firmware Developer focused on embedded C for SoC platforms. You will design firmware, bootloaders, and complex device drivers across POSIX, RTOS, and bare‑metal environments, interfacing with SPI, I2C, CAN, PCIe, and other buses.

You will develop FreeRTOS drivers, QNX applications, and Autosar CDD components, and collaborate with hardware teams on schematics and with CI/CD using git, Conan, Python, and CMake.

Qualifications

• Experience in firmware and bootloader development in C for SoC platforms.
• Experience with multiple OS environments: POSIX, RTOS, bare metal.
• Proficiency in device drivers and communication buses (SPI, I2C, CAN, PCIe).
• Experience with QNX and Autosar CDD development.
• Strong debugging using JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop firmware and bootloaders for SoC platforms.
• Develop FreeRTOS drivers and Autosar CDD components.
• Create and maintain QNX applications for hardware verification and EMC testing.
• Debug HW-SW interfacing issues using JTAG, oscilloscope, and logic analyzer.
• Collaborate with hardware and automation teams to integrate CI/CD and flashing tools.

Job description

• BOOTLOADER / FIRMWARE DEVELOPER - EMBEDDED C
• Develop Firmware, Bootloaders, Complex Device Drivers using C
• Note Automotive experience not required, ok for IOT, Medical, etc that love to do low level C code
• Designing and developing software for a System on Chip (SoC) solution consisting of multiple operating environments (POSIX, RTOS, bare metal) and processing cores (MPU, MCU, DSP) interfacing with devices through common peripheral buses (SPI, I2C, CAN, PCIe, MIPI CSI, SERDES, Ethernet, UART)
• Designing and developing FreeRTOS device drivers using C
• Designing and developing Classic Autosar services and Complex Device Drivers (CDD) using C
• Designing and developing QNX applications using C and C++ in support of hardware verification and EMC testing
• Debugging HW-SW interfacing issues for root cause identification using common tools and methods (JTAG, oscilloscope, logic analyzer)\
• Collaborating with hardware team on schematic review and software impact
• Collaborating with CICD to build and deliver software packages for multiple hardware variants, operating systems, and processor targets using tools such as git, conan, python, and CMake
• Collaborating with Automation team to support and maintain flashing tools using python.
