Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking embedded software engineers to design and deploy software for terrestrial devices within the Amazon Leo system. You will participate in SDLC from requirements to deployment across a large scale project.

The role requires hands-on experience with C/C++, Rust, Linux/RTOS, and real-time embedded concepts, plus collaboration with hardware and software teams to deliver reliable products for customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 2+ years in design/architecture of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

You will design, craft, and deploy reliable embedded software for large quantity of consumer electronic products. LEO is breaking new ground with every device we design, and you will be an integral part of bringing this family of products to customers.

A day in the life

As part of our Amazon Leo CT SW Team, you will design and implement embedded software used in the Project Kuiper products. You will work in a collaborative environment with teams inside and outside of Amazon. You will craft your software from requirements, designs, code, test, to product deployment. You need to be flexible and responsive to changing priority issues.

About The Team

The Amazon Leo CT SW Team supports the devices that connect our customers to the Kuiper network. We provide software for both applications and the underlying Linux system. We work hand in hand with hardware, product and operations teams to deliver a great experience for our customers.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
