MORSE Corp in Cambridge, MA invites a student-focused Embedded Software Engineer Co-op. You will develop embedded software for hardware/software integration and UAS R&D programs, spanning the full design cycle from concept to deployment.

Responsibilities include integrating novel algorithms, running simulations, and supporting flight tests to validate software performance. Strong C/C++, Python, and Rust skills, RTOS experience, and U.S. citizenship or clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• MS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong proficiency with C/C++, Python and Rust.
• Experience with RTOS and embedded communication protocols (UART, I2C, CAN).
• US citizenship or ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for hardware/software integration and UAS R&D.
• Update and run simulation software to test new capabilities.
• Interface with technology SMEs to integrate algorithms and subsystems into vehicle platforms.
• Support flight tests, including setup, ground station operation, log retrieval and analysis.
• Communicate design status, test results, and recommendations clearly.
