Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a student or recent graduate to participate in the design, development, and testing of NxStage Medical’s software products and related tools. Responsibilities include embedded software development, Windows/Linux tooling and scripting, adding new functionality, and ensuring design controls with proper documentation and unit tests.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering teams, adherence to software lifecycles, and applying basic analytical and design

Qualifications

Candidate pursuing BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
Fundamental programming skills in Java, C/C++, JavaScript, and C#/.NET are expected.
Embedded programming experience is preferred.
Knowledge of software development methodologies, design, and implementation is required.
Basic understanding of project lifecycles and source control techniques is desirable.

Responsibilities

Participate in the design, development, and testing of NxStage Medical software products and related tools.
Develop embedded software, Windows, Linux tools, and scripting projects as assigned.
Add new functionality and provide supporting documentation and unit tests.
Ensure activities conform to design controls and documentation practices.
Debug new designs and improve reliability of existing and new designs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
