Job summary

RITWIK Infotech Inc. in Foster City, CA seeks an Embedded Systems Security Engineer to harden our next‑gen embedded Linux platform and bridge hardware security, kernel hardening and secure user-space containment.

You will design hardware root of trust and secure boot, implement dm-verity, develop a TEE (OP‑TEE), and enforce strong sandboxing with SELinux/AppArmor while enabling CI/CD signing pipelines. Strong C and scripting skills, ARM TrustZone expertise, Yocto/Buildroot experience, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 6+ years Embedded Linux development, board bring-up, BSP customization.
• 3+ years deploying device-level security features into production hardware.
• Expert knowledge of bootloader configurations (U-Boot/Barebox) and Linux storage/security subsystems (dm-crypt, dm-verity).
• Deep understanding of ARM TrustZone (ARMv7-A/ARMv8-A; EL1/EL3).
• Experience with SELinux/AppArmor and Linux containment (cgroups, namespaces).
• Proficiency with Yocto Project or Buildroot.
• Programming in C and scripting in Python or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Platform Hardening & Architecture: Design Hardware Root of Trust and Secure Boot from bootloader through Linux kernel.
• Storage & Integrity Management: Implement dm-verity and encryption at rest.
• Trusted Execution Environments: Develop/integrate a TEE (OP-TEE) and Secure Applications.
• Application Sandboxing: Enforce isolation with SELinux/AppArmor, cgroups, namespaces, and seccomp.
• DevSecOps Automation: Build automated signing pipelines in CI/CD to sign bootloaders, kernels, OTA payloads (HSMs).
• Production Provisioning Support: Scripts/tools for burning eFuses/OTP securely and end-of-line security tests.
• System Resilience: Architect multi-slot boot recovery (A/B) for OTA/boot reliability.
