Job summary

Abaco Systems, an AMETEK, Inc. division, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and support FPGA and RF products.

The role involves creating, debugging, and maintaining software in C and Python for rugged military and scientific applications. The candidate will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment to enhance the sustainability and reliability of existing and new products, with an emphasis on debug, test, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing in C
• 5+ years experience embedded software programming
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive improvements based on product triage to reduce risk and improve reliability
• Debug released software/firmware to fix customer issues
• Design/Create/Maintain/Document/Troubleshoot C/Python/TestStand/LabVIEW programs for product design and test
• Collaborate in a team to plan and execute all phases of product test development/deployment
• Perform engineering debug tasks with lab tools (oscilloscope, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, multimeter)
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction
