Job summary

Sandisk’s Product Security Engineering & Assurance (PSEA) seeks highly motivated Product Security Engineers - Hardware/Firmware, focusing on security for SSDs with hardware and firmware components. You will partner with firmware, hardware, Platform Security, validation, and product teams to strengthen security across Sandisk products through assessments, assurance, and enablement.

The ideal candidate combines deep embedded systems and firmware security expertise with the ability to influence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years in product security, embedded systems, firmware engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of hardware/firmware security, threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with firmware, hardware, Platform Security, validation, and product teams to strengthen cybersecurity across lifecycles.
• Provide guidance on security requirements and controls for hardware/firmware products.
• Evaluate security posture, identify risk areas, and prioritize mitigations based on product risk and business goals.
• Support PSIRT activities, vulnerability triage, remediation coordination, and external disclosures.
• Author security white papers and technical guidance for internal and customer-facing use.
