Job summary

VBeyond Corporation is seeking a Senior Power/Performance engineer in Sunnyvale, CA or Redmond, WA for 100% onsite work. You will drive power targets, validate SoC behavior, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include creating test plans, debugging with software, firmware, hardware, and silicon teams, and bringing up pre-Si prototypes with RTOS and bare-metal workloads. Strong background in Pre-Si/Post-Si tools and IO protocols is required.

Qualifications

• Power and performance characterization of SoC using Pre-Si & Post-Si tooling.
• Proficiency in C/C++ embedded software for bare metal, RTOS and Linux.
• Experience with ARM CPU, AMBA architecture, boot flows, CPU & SoC initialization.
• Silicon bring-up and board debugging experience.
• Familiarity with IO protocols: MIPI, PCIe, USB, I2C, SPMI, UART, GPIO.
• Knowledge of OS concepts and multi-threaded programming.
• Scripting in Python or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Characterize power and performance of SoC using Pre-Si and Post-Si tools.
• Lead cross-functional debugging with software, firmware, hardware, and silicon teams.
• Develop validation test plans and ensure coverage of key features.
• Write low-level driver code for RTOS to configure subsystems (camera, PCIe, USB, ML).
• Bring up pre-Si and post-Si prototypes; validate functional and PnP features.
• Debug and bring-up of low-power SoCs; narrow failures from system to block level.
