Job summary

AAON, Inc. in Longview, TX, is seeking a Plant Controller (Hybrid Plant Finance Leader) to serve as the plant's on-site FP&A partner, delivering decision-ready financial insights and performance management to the Plant Director and leadership team.

The role owns plant budgeting and forecasting, develops driver-based scenarios, and leads cost, inventory, and margin analyses while building KPI dashboards and ensuring SOX-compliant controls.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field and 8+ years in manufacturing finance/FP&A.
• Experience leading a small team and partnering with plant leadership.
• SAP proficiency is a major plus; MBA/CPA/CMA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Plant Director to provide clear, actionable insights that improve decision-making and plant performance.
• Own plant forecasting and budgeting cadence; build driver-based forecasts and surface forward-looking implications.
• Deliver variance analysis and quantify financial impact; provide actionable recommendations.
• Own and deliver plant KPI dashboards and digital reporting tools; improve visibility to labor, overhead, and margin.
• Strengthen plant costing mechanics and margin visibility; monitor overhead allocation and yield/throughput.
• Support standard cost-setting cycle with operational inputs and variance explanations.
• Support plant inventory performance and working-capital drivers with reconciliations and close alignment.
• Provide finance support for plant capex planning and ROI models; track spend vs budget.
• Lead a small FP&A team and act as SAP power user with IT/GPO collaboration.
• Ensure SOX-aware processes and control remediation with Accounting/Internal Audit.
