Job summary

TP-Link Systems Inc. in Irvine, CA, seeks a Penetration Testing Engineer, Embedded Devices, to join our cybersecurity team.

You will conduct penetration testing on embedded products, perform threat modeling, and contribute to incident response under the guidance of senior engineers. The ideal candidate has a BS in CS or Information Security, 1–3 years in security engineering for embedded devices, and hands-on experience with Burp Suite, Nmap, Kali, Nessus, and reverse engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 1–3 years' experience as a Security Engineer (Embedded devices) or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of protocol security design, cryptography, frameworks, and vulnerabilities.
• Experience with security tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Kali, Nessus, Metasploit, IDA, and Ghidra.

Responsibilities

• Penetration testing on embedded products and remediation recommendations.
• Threat modelling and security assessment for modules.
• Incident response, vulnerability management, and cross‑functional coordination.
• Product cybersecurity certification support and tooling development.
• SDLC integration to embed security throughout development.
