Advantech is seeking a Software Engineer II specialized in Embedded OS lifecycle and BSP customization in Tustin, CA. The role focuses on developing, customizing, and managing embedded operating systems across multiple hardware platforms, collaborating with software, hardware, and global teams.

The candidate should have strong hands-on C/C++ with Embedded Linux, Yocto, BSP development, and board bring-up experience, plus the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive cross-functional

Formación

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, with 5+ years hands-on embedded software engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement low-level embedded software and BSPs in C/C++ across RTOS and Embedded Linux environments.
• Lead custom BSP customization, board bring-up, and hardware-software integration for target platforms.
• Manage software lifecycle including kernel configuration, patching, image building and deployment for embedded OSes.
