Ag Leader Technology, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our Ames, IA team.

You will work in a cross‑functional setting on embedded and Linux‑based systems, gaining real ownership while mentors guide you through design, implementation, and testing of software that ships to real customers. You’ll contribute to a variety of languages and technologies, learn in a fast-paced sprint environment, and be supported by experienced engineers as you grow your skills in a hands-on role

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in CS/SE or related engineering discipline.
Some coursework or project experience in C++ (class projects, personal projects or hackathons).
Comfort in a Linux environment or eagerness to learn Linux-based workflows.
Curiosity, collaboration and willingness to ask questions and give/receive feedback.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with your team to design, build, and test solutions that solve real customer problems.
Lead the design, implementation, and testing of software solutions that exceed customer needs.
Deliver working code within each sprint and demonstrate features to stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement and agile practices by identifying challenges and root causes.
Participate in retrospectives and code reviews as a two-way conversation.
Gain hands-on experience across multiple languages and technologies as projects call for it.
