Job summary

Experis is seeking an Embedded Linux BSP Engineer to join our aerospace/high-performance storage solutions client in Irvine, CA. You will contribute to porting drivers, configuring kernel modules, and hardware bring-up across evaluation and target platforms.

The ideal candidate has strong C/C++, experience with BSPs for x86, and hands-on debug skills using JTAG, serial consoles, and oscilloscopes. There is potential for contract-to-hire and growth in a cutting-edge hardware environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Linux kernel boot flow and minimal hardware initialization.
• Experience with BSP development for x86 architectures and embedded debugging.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming and low-level hardware programming.
• Familiarity with hardware bring-up techniques using JTAG, serial console, and oscilloscopes.
• Experience with storage devices such as eMMC, NVMe, SATA, and SD, including root filesystem setup.

Responsibilities

• Support porting and configuration of GMSL3 drivers and utilities dependent on this protocol
• Configure Linux kernel modules to ensure optimal performance and compatibility
• Perform hardware bring-up, validation, and debugging on evaluation and target hardware platforms
• Develop and integrate Board Support Packages (BSP) for x86 architectures
• Customize and maintain BIOS/UEFI to meet platform requirements and support Linux kernel boot processes
