Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a software engineer who can contribute to cross-disciplinary integrated product teams, applying agile development practices and a strong command of modern software lifecycles.

Candidates will work across architecture, design, integration and testing, with hands-on experience in C++ and Ada95, embedded systems, and DO-178 safety certification considerations, while learning new languages quickly.

Job description

• Participate on collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams, often employing agile software development techniques.
• Responsible for the full lifecycle of product development, from architecture and design, through integration, test.
• Experience in Software Engineering to include experience working various phases of the software development lifecycle
• Experience with Software Development Using C++, Ada95.
• Experience with Devops and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with Requirements management tools like JAMA, Polarion
• Experience with embedded programming, processor/board architecture and design.
• Experience with certification aspects of the safety critical systems per DO178 Guidelines in order to successfully certify the product.
• Coordinates and communicates with direct team members, technical project managers, systems engineers and product managers.
• Understands and follows processes, is always learning and continuously looks for improvements.
• Able to learn new programming languages and technologies quickly.
